THE BALM

When the struggle intensifies
And the strength of the others stupifies
Sending our forces in reverse
From somewhere your memory arises
Supplying strength from reservoire unknown

When all plans fail to work
And we are plagued by our woes
Our hopes evaporating into thin air
A flicker of your essence rallies hope around
Giving us the push to forge ahead

When all resources are expended
And our risks are quite extended
Our fears multiplying manifold
Your touch reflects powers magical
Eliminating all our fears and risks

When the day's work is done
And exhaustion makes us druggy
Our bodies seemingly refusing action
Our thoughts of you generate attention
Sending vigour into bones and muscles

You who inspires us in the struggle
Giving hope in alternating strategy
Eliminating fears that may lead to weakness
Freeing our bones and muscles from weariness
You are the source of our vitality

You shall take us home to rest
Making our exhaustion respectable
Changing our weariness to vigour
Inculcating a sense of victory
Yet our battle is not won

You who shall give meaning to darkness
Exposing how we survive in danger
As they strive to create our fall
Trying to conceal their own fallacy
You are the balm for our pains
