How convenient indeed!
I guess once again, some people Jammeh wants out of the way, or some he feels
he can sacrifice are serving as the scapegoats in this one so the APRC
regime can find ways to curry favour with the U.S which to them also equals
money to add to their loot.
I am certain that the U.S can read between the lines on this one for the
sake of our people and our country. The last thing we need is for our
country and our people to be singled out and labelled " a terrorist nation"
just because the tyrants who have seized our government are making up stories
so they can have a dip in the terrorism budget to feed their insatiable greed
while continuing to unleash their own brand of terror on our people. I think
it is obvious to anyone that the only terrorism that goes on there is the one
that Jammeh and his terror machine are dishing out to Gambians, and we wish
we could add Jammeh and his henchmen to the international terrorist list.
I think the U.S knows all of this too well, and we hope that Jammeh is not
turned into another tyrant ally by the U.S, whose misdeeds they turn a blind
eye to for their own convenience at the expense of our people.

Greetings, I came across this news and thought I should share it with you.

BANJUL, Jan 12 (AFP) - Gambian security forces were questioning a man
suspected of being involved in an alleged assassination attempt on the US
ambassador to the country, the Gambian Interior Minister Osman Badjie said
Sunday. "I know there is a suspect who was arrested last Thursday in a motel
on the outskirts of Banjul. Presently, this person is helping security forces
in their interrogation," Badjie told AFP. Badjie declined to reveal the man's
identity and refused to give any further comment. On Friday, the US State
Department had announced two men had been arrested Thursday in the west
African country in connection with a possible threat to their ambassador,
Jackson McDonald.
