Greetings to all! This is to inform the community that I returned to the US
a little over a week ago and that I will, in the next week or so, post a
detailed report of my three-month visit home.

Let me also take this opportunity to express my profound sadness to all who
lost loved ones every where, The Gambia and U.S. in the months that I was
gone and could not send word to you. I pray that they all rest in peace.

I also pray for my younger sister Yasin(Jall)Secka who passed away this
morning after a long illness. May she also rest in peace.

For those that are critically sick, and especially those at home, I pray for
your speedy recovery.

Allow me also to say congrats! to all our new graduates and their parents,
Jabou, Habib, Fatoumatta and all those celebrating one success or another.
I also wish Gibby Cham the best of luck in his new business dealings.

Let me also thank all those who called while I was home in The Gambia to
check on me, Bakary Sonko and Joe Sambou to name a few. Your thoughtfulness
is appreciated.

While in The Gambia I had the pleasure of meeting so many folks including
G-L members. I met Katim Touray for the first time even though we both hail
from Saloum/Ballanghar/Kaur but never met in the US. What a descent fellow
and a real Saloum-saloum.

Meeting koto Sidi Sanneh for the first time was also a real treat as well.
Sidi and his family were kind enough to have Katim and I over for dinner.
Thanks again Sidi fo the lovely dinner, company and support.

I also met Mr. Sheikh Tijan Nyang for the first time, saw and heard him a
lot on T.V. and radio. Keep up the good work, and Sheikh Tijan, we will do
what we planned when I return, hopefully soon. I met many G-L members for
the first time who may not like their names listed.

To all these new and old friends, I say thank you for making my visit a
memorable one.

To Habib Ghanim,I express my deep apprciation for all your assistance and
company in Baltimore.

And I thank God for restoring to Dr. Nyang his health. We pray for his
complete recovery.

And to all Greetings from home. They miss each and everyone of you and pray
for your continued health and success.

Until next week,
Abdoulaye (Oxford, OH, USA).
