G-Lers'

Thank you all for your solidarity in the birth of our son. Well as the saying goes these are the challenges we have to face in life. Bringing up kids to live up to our expectation but the most challenging for me as a feminist is the bringing up of a boychild in this patriachal society. As i go through my mail following the case of the Nigerian girl, I say to myself i hope this little boy will grow up to accept and see women as partners in the struggle.

George and Maimuna, we wish you all the best. We also hope that our little boy will grow up to see your girl as a partner in the struggle for a better and not someone to be dominated. Hopefully this wil be a begining for the total eradiction of the patriachal world and the begining of a world free of oppression.
