COURT GIVES JEGGAN GREY-JOHNSON AN ULTIMATUM

The High Court Wednesday ordered Jeggan Grey-Johnson to pay D50, 000 to Elie
Nachif, proprietor of Yellowgate recording studios within 14 days.

By writ of summons dated May 28, 1999, Mr Nachif claimed D80, 000 from Mr
Grey-Johnson in respect of debts accruing from the production of a 13-track
master album.

Evidence before the court stated that Yellowgate boss was instructed by Mr
Johnson, a recording artiste to produce the master album for him before
December 31, 1997, which he did.

Mr Johnson failed after the production of the master album.

Delivering her ruling on Wednesday morning, Justice Mam Yassin Sey also
ordered Mr Johnson to pay D1, 500 monthly to Mr Nachif with effect from
January 31, 2000.

Justice Sey ruled that if Johnson failed to liquidate the outstanding
judgement debts as ordered by the court, he would be brought before the
court to face contempt proceedings.

Emmanuel Chime appeared for Elie Nachif while Bola Carrol represented Jeggan
Grey-Johnson.
