Sanusi, I agree with you. The fact that the APRC needs just one vote (real
or imagined) means that rigging is a must for them. Even with unity, we are
going to have a rough ride and I am not sure Gambians are willing to fight
for their rights when that happens. Individually, it is a very long short
and that will allow Yaya to rig it the better. Are Gambians ready to vote
their conscience with a divided opposition? Only time will tell, but the
signals are not good.

As to a future collaboration, I say it matters most to collaborate to remove
Yaya now, rather than to collaborate for the NA elections. Yaya is the one
murdering folks, the one arresting folks, manipulating our legal system, and
the one stealing from us. Thus, if we do not come together and get rid of
him, we are putting the cart before the horse. Trust me, if there is no
unity now, you can forget any such thing for the NA elections.

In a three way race kinder and gentler will be suicidal for the opposition.
How can NADD/UDP differentiate itself from the other, without addressing the
short comings of the other, and vise versa? They have to tell the voters
what they can do that the other cannot, so, none cannot avoid getting wet if
they want to cross the river on foot. You throw in the local supporters and
their task is much more difficult. At the end of the day, our goal should
be to get rid of Yaya and that is the only energy I have left in my tank for
now. Lord knows I wished we were not in this crossroad. Good luck to the
opposition.

Chi Jaama

Joe
