Abdoulaye,
Like you, I have been following the debate with great interest.  The Human
Rights dimension of FGM/FC is an aspect of the debate that has generally not
been given the emphasis due it, and the eloquent manner in which you
presented it to the Gambian women and men of Minnesota should calvanise the
troops everywhere to educate and not legislate. Thank you for sharing your
invaluable thoughts on the subject.
