George I have much respect. I used to be a keen listen to the people radio, Radio 1FM. It is one of the media not only get the facts right, it gets the meaning of the events right, that is the reason why it is the target of enemies of freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is compelling not only today, but stands the test of time which Radio1FM alway one to be associated.

I wish to join Modou Thomas and all well wishers to wish Radio 1FM and
George a happy anniversary. Indeed Radio 1FM is doing a good job in The
Gambia and we need to join hands to empower it so that it can play an even
greater role in the next few months, particularly with the approach of the
presidential elections. It is virtually the only private radio left to bear
the torch after the demise of Citizen FM. Therefore, we need to do
everything possible to help it to carry on.
