Havana, Dec 14 (Prensa Latina) During a meeting Wednesday with Gambian Foreign Minister Lamin Karba Bajo, host Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque reiterated the Cuban government´s willingness to enhance bilateral relations with that nation.
Perez Roque told Karba Bajo that Cuba is grateful for Gambia´s support to the Cuban people´s struggle against the US blockade.

He noted that the Gambian official´s visit provides an opportunity to foster bilateral cooperation ties, and discuss common and international issues.

Meanwhile, the visitor thanked the Cuban people and government for giving him a warm welcome, and praised the work of a Cuban medical team assisting his country.

"We may not have much to offer, but you will have our support in all international forums and against the blockade," the visitor declared.

Karba Bajo´s Cuban visit is to fortify mutual friendship and cooperation, and to honor the Cuban internationalists who died fighting for the independence of African countries.

His program on the Island also includes talks with other Cuban officials and tours of places of historic, cultural, educational, and scientific interest.
