When the deafening noise of sacrilege
Hammers on the drums of our eager ears

It is silence that thunders
When clouds of strange passion
Rumble and burst
On the shores of anguished souls

It is silence that stares back
At our hungry eyes
When fountains of silver thoughts
Gush in our dizzy minds
And send us busy searching
For that tiny grain in the ocean
To feed the starving truth

It is silence that fills the world
When thoughts dearest to man
When things most repulsive to all
When words dying to be born
Drop
And creep
Into the depths of our inner caves

It is silence that rules the sky
When the unspeakable truth is told.
Or is it fear that numbs the heart
When our eyes behold the truth
So bold it can’t be told?
