Hi there:
Some of the stats seem to be a bit far fetched; for example, 20% of urban
youths are gangsters.  If the classic definition of gangster is anything to
go by, this is innacurate.

However, I must say that the literacy rate numbers look correct to me.
Serrekunda is a huge sprawling area with perhaps a huge chunk of Gambia's
population. I think the stats on Serrekunda are prolly on the right track.

10 out of 1000 folks works out to be 1%. I also think this is an accurate
reflection of the size of the AIDS epidimic back home.

IMO, there is no need to even question these stats.  Something needs to be
done about this ASAP.  Senegal and Uganda have done wonders in educationg
folks about this terrible disease.
