  Fellow Africans and Friends,

  Drama and anguish continues in Kampala as I write, following various incidents this morning in which the Museveni dictatorship blocked rallies by Youth groups from the UPC, DP, Reform Agenda and other political organisations.

  The rally was due to have been held at Clock Tower - Entebber road to advocate for return to multiparty politics and, to pleed that Museveni stops the campaign for his limitless term in office, so called Third Term.

  Yesterday General Wamalwa Katumba, the military strongman responsible for policing told journalists that they would not hesitate to shot at demonstrators. Shooting they did today. Some of those injured were taken to Nsambya hospital and, up to a few minutes ago, at least two of the leading youth activists were still being held.

  Museveni deployed, the army, police, ISO and Fadeyeen style militia to block the rally. When the youths disparsed into Kampala city centre, tear gas and live ammunition were used against them. I was speaking live to a radio journalist on site and could in fact hear the entire horror.

  When I spoke to some of the organisers, I felt the strenght of anger, despair but above all, determination.

  Uganda is a state in anarchy and, if not ourselves,  only Africa's God will save us.
