ANNOUNCEMENT

An international organisation operating in the information and communication
sector in West Africa, wishes to recruit for its Dakar headquarters:

1 General Coordinator of Programmes

Functions & Duties

 He shall participate in strategic undertakings including giving advice to
the Director General as well as contribute in designing an activity
development strategy for the programme activities of PIWA.
 He shall be responsible for the implementation of this strategy.
 He shall inspect and ensure the implementation of the activities by the
various Regional Programme Officers.
 He shall contribute, and in collaboration with the Director General,
undertake fundraising activities.

Profile:

 He should have several years of experience in coordination or in
conducting programmes especially in the area of information and
communication as well in fundraising.
 He should have a professional experience of the region.
 He should be a holder of a doctorate degree in social sciences or in
communication studies.
 He should be eloquent in oral and written expression.
 He should have a good knowledge of the NGO sector, the media and
international organisations operating in West Africa.
 He should possess a good working relationship and must be ready to work in
a team.
 He must be rigorous, meticulous and should possess a high sense of
responsibility.
 He should be a native of one of the OAU member states.
 He should possess a good knowledge of the 2 working languages of the
organisation: French and English.
 He should have a good knowledge or mastery of computer skills.
