OPINION PA NDERRY; STOP DECEIVING THE GAMBIANS By Concern Citizen

---------------------------------

December 27, 2005
Hello, this is a concern Gambia who is a constant reader of this paper and has been keenly following every story. I have always belong to the middle class of the three different types of people in each society. Every society is run by good people, bad people and observers (TV watchers who don't participate in either of the two). I have been keeping quite for a while but need to speak my mind now as Pa Nderry has been pushing too hard. Since the first day of the NADD trio in The GAMBIA BY THE MONSTER REGIME OF JAMMEH, Pa Nderry has been pushing too hard for the facilitation of a mass demonstration by the NADD executive in The Gambia. From my point of view, Sedia was absolutely right about the reasons he gave for not conducting a demonstration (explore all possible legal mechanisms first as well as avoid wolfing/shooting of NADD and its supporters by Yaya and his boys). This could lead to NADD loosing a lot of votes in the sense that any NADD supporter that is killed or hospitalised
during the election will be minus 1 vote for NADD. So that is justifiable.

Now coming back to my subject, I want to challenge Pa Nderry to explain himself as to why he did not participate in the D.C and New York demonstrations held here in the United States as a show of his love for the Gambia since he lives in Raleigh, NC which is barely 3 to 4 hours from DC (by road) and 20 to 30 minutes by flight while New York is 8 to 10 hours by road and 1 hour 30 minutes by air. Pa Nderry, please prove to us that you really love the Gambia as you are claiming.

Yet still, why don't you buy a ticket and go to The Gambia to help NADD organise that demonstration or even attend the anniversary of hero Deyda Hydara who you claimed to have been very close to. Pa please let us not deceive people or do/say things that would make us more popular to the detriment of our country -The Gambia where we all come from. Even though we don't live there now but we all have our families and friends still living there. Our America or Europe might be nice today, but we must all go back sooner or later. So please sir, with all due respect, stop ablasing the current situation in The Gambia and tell people the truth and factual stories rather than "nyambasing" here and there on every story you publish. I love your writing, I respect your personality, I admire your character and i have nothing against you. For my only concern is that you don't believe in what you are pushing others to do to the detriment of the Gambia. You are really doing a good job furnishing us
with information. You just have to be more objective and realistic about your stories and articles rather than focusing on writing what you think your readers would like to see.

I am trying to be objective not taking side with any party. I frankly did not make up my mind yet as to where to belong politically because both parties in the Gambia don't seem the right one to me as Yahya has recently gone mad and NADD has not get their house together yet.

I prefer to keep my identity for now but shall duely unveil myself as required. I would also appologise to anyone who is offended by this peace.
