Alningbara, Njarama,

You can now understand why I am advocating for the re-introduction of our AFRICAN MATRILINEAL SYSTEMS!

We will be having more brave ladies openly calling for Princely Male Partners. This would be the Harem of Eden scenario live! LOL.

Thanks Uncle Suntou for bringing up the subject. My Mandinko brethren/cousins are gradually responding to my call of rediscovering their rich heritages. ALI-MONKENDOLU!

I believe the appropriate solutions to Africa's problem cannot come from the Ivy League and Russell Group world-views. We need to first re-visit our ancestral archives to pick out the BEST PRACTICES of our Heritages and integrate them into our contemporary development agenda.

Sadly the psychological damages of "Christianization", "Islamization" and colonialism and, the post-colonial "independent" (sorry Africa is for me not yet independent) brainwash education leave our people with the penchant for the omnivorous consumption/acceptance of anything thrown at them from abroad. Even with their own histories, they will believe the ones written outside by outsiders first before accepting their own local versions!

The so called African Development "experts" did not see the Africa-wide mobile phone revolution, the Nigerian digital film phenomena and remittances from the Diaspora, as just three examples of AFRICAN-LED, initiatives coming.

Whatever, I will keep fighting for Matrilinialism among other positive heritages. May be we should include Matrilinialism in our next Gambian National Women's Act ("Family Act" could be the appropriate title).

Mawdos Yoro and Demba, with the Niumi Queens and Princesses I believe I have a natural advantage over some other suitors. Their first criterion of a brave "princely male" fits me perfectly well. I can present my genealogical credentials to prove to the women league that THEIR SEARCH FOR THE IDEAL NOBLE LOVER-BOY STOPS WITH ME and they do not need to call any other guy be him a Hunter, "Gainako", "Gewel", "Badoleh", "Palasitiwo", "Kawandila/Sukula" "Alimudo", "Bechekt", "Lebereso" or "Daddy Kama" to just come and eat their food and waste their calories!

SMART GIRLS LOVE STUBBORN BOYS. I confident that I can seduce the Good Niumi Princess/Queens with my charms, stubbornness and humour.

History recorded that the Rulers of Niumi hired some us Sarahulleh's as mercenaries/warriors ("Kurusa" or "Kurunlenmu" as called in Sarahulleh. KURE being singular for "WAR" and KURU the plural) to defend and fight for them. This is also another selling point for me. If I go to Niumi today and introduce myself in verifiable historical details, I am sure I will be accorded the privilege to pick any Niuminka Princess or Queen of my taste. A Brave Warrior Prince does not come by every day.

Uncle Suntou would lead the delegation that will deliver the Royal cola-nuts as the "Silatiyo" and Cousin Haruna, you will be the best man in this Special Case. LOL.

Mawdos Yoro and Demba, in our contest for the hearts of Niumi Queens/Princesses may be you should engage more Gainakos like those Molingel brothers of Sareh Chacho who could block my way with cattle to prevent me from meeting the queens in time. This way you will win comfortably. You laugh!

My Brother Cherno Fankung, your Dokita Jammeh is not satisfied with the status of President and is desperate for social elevation into Royalty just to enjoy the unique privileges. Tell him there is NO vacancy for him in our Distinguished Class. I do not mind pulling strings to get him knighted for his wrestling and title-grabbing skills but making him Royal is out of it. My "Operation No Jangalemeh" (Operation No Bastard) is on the standby for him and his confused Chiefs.

By the way My Brother Cherno Fankung, when is your wedding with that hot irresistible girl in The Gambia? I promised her that I will pay for the "Futusiti Dondiko" (traditional marriage dress) for your wedding. May be you should integrate the wedding into election victory celebration of your Babili Mansa.

I promised not to chase/court/date the girl out of respect for you. In our last greeting exchange through Facebook last evening (Wednesday June 1, 2011) I warned her that by the time I successfully defend my LL.D. Dissertation and she is still on the marriage market, I will grab her. She has ample time (2-3 years or so) as I am too busy to fix any concrete date for the marathon defence of my academic work for Legum Doctor Degree. But my Brother Cherno Fankung make hay while the sun shines. That girl is hot and good. When I say a lady is hot and has good character, she is in reality like that! I am serious. Don't argue with a Casanova over the Qualities of a Lady. Don't laugh!

Mawdos Yoro and Demba, how is Ramatoulie doing with her studies and intended Miss West Africa USA Pageant? She is still under my radar! LOL!

I wish you all Gambia-Lers pleasant weekend. To my fellow fans of "Fareed Zakaria GPS" show on Sundays, enjoy the next edition as usual.

Warmest,

Prince B. Sankanu
P.S. For the latest about Alikuning Society kindly visit our website below. We now have a National Coordinator for The Gambia operating from Basse. The registration as either NGO (Non Governmental Organization or CBO (Community Based Organization) in The Gambia is in progress and we will select the legal form that suits us best these days. By the end of this June 2011, the process should be concluded and the registration numbers will be posted on the website for verification by all and sundry.

The fund-raising for our Institute is rolling too as planned.

Due to the requests and needs of local beneficiary communities, we have expanded our scope to include "Microfinance" and "Health Care." Once we conclude raising the stipulated Ten (10) Million Dalasi (approx. 250,000 Euros/ USD 360,000) capital required, we will apply for a Microfinance Bank license from The Central Bank of The Gambia.

Meanwhile we have added a Paypal button on the bottom of the "School Project" page for anyone who wants to show his/her SYMBOLIC voluntary ONE CENT token or appreciation/morale booster with ease. The Access Description on the "School Project" page will make you laugh your head off!
