Hi Independent View

Who gave you the licence to speak on behalf of
Gambians like this.Charles Sam has caused a real stirr
among Gambians of the pen.Did you forget
pan-africanism.I learnt somewhere that "When trying to
conquer a monster, one must be careful not to become a
monster in tthe process".How can Mr. Charles Sam not
have the right under the banner of Pan-Africanism to
criticise The Gambia? What justifies a revenge on one
Ghanaian engulfing the Republic of Ghana.Charles is
not the Head of State of Ghana by the way. After all,he
used to be a welcome guest in the Gambia. He had such a
respectable mind that he got invited to national TV
Talkshows and on this occasion on SUNDAY NEWS HOUR;the
very epitome of Gambian free press and free speech.I
am sure he talked with so much courage because he felt
confident that he is in the most democratic country on
the African continent. How disappointed he must be that
not the politicians but the press itself is not
tolerant of free speech. How can the INDEPENDENT
NEWSPAPER suggest his deportation just because he
spoke his mind.

Come on Gambians, come on!KEEP SMILING
