Bah, please reread my piece before you jump to conclusions. Start from the
title and move on. “THERE WILL BE AN OPPOSITION ALLIANCE (soon)”. Pay
particular attention to the last word. If you then move all the way to the
bottom, you will also see where I said that “I hope they (Opposition
leaders) communicate effectively to their respective constituents and
explain to them the benefits of joining an Alliance aimed at removing the
Dictatorship back home.” Emphasis mine.

This is NOT a formal announcement of a Coalition. I am glad that genuine
Opposition members were astute enough to read that much into my piece and
continued to pray for our leaders to put the finishing touches into the
agreement and come up with an announcement soon.

This post from me shatters the lies that there was infighting in the
Opposition and we were nowhere near getting a Coalition to defeat Yaya.
Clearly, that is a big lie. I will NOT know that our leaders are working
hard to do what is right and what we (in the Opposition want) and then sit
by and watch some vermin spread lies and talk thrash as if our leaders are
doing nothing but pursuing selfish interests.

You are right that I will NOT be the one to announce that there is (INDEED)
an Opposition Alliance. That honor belongs to the tireless and noble leaders
on the ground doing all the hard work. As we approach these trying days, the
last thing we need is lies aimed at pitting one Opposition party against the
other. I do NOT wish to add to your confusion at all. I do not see how news
that our leaders have reached agreement in principle, and will soon announce
an Alliance, will be confusing to an Opposition supporter that wants an
Alliance. You being on the ground should have known a long time ago that our
leaders were working hard for this and were NOT putting selfish interests
ahead of national interests. Being as concerned as you are about the image
of our leaders in the eyes of their supporters in the Diaspora, don’t you
think you should have come out earlier on to refute the lies that were being
perpetrated here about the possibility of an Opposition Alliance and who is
going to lead that Alliance?

I take this opportunity to echo some of the postings sent earlier on to
extend support and prayers to our leaders. Like some have already said, the
job is just about to begin. We should harness all the talents in our midst
to ensure that Yaya’s days are numbered. Like someone already said, let us
redouble our fundraising efforts. Let us continue to give our leaders our
unconditional support and give them good ideas that will enable them win in
October. The other day Buharry brought up some important campaign strategies
that need to be looked into. Musa Jeng’s father’s day message also comes to
mind. Contrary to what Yaya wants our people to believe, it is NOT his
‘donations’ that feed our people. It is the remittances we send to our
people that feed the majority of our people. Let us all pledge to do our
‘darnest’ to convince our families and friends to help in this noble
endeavor to get rid of the menace in our society.
