This chilling account of torture is in deed shocking. For a regime that bears a democratic banner to do this to a journalist is utterly amazing!Such acts easily remind us the detention camps of torture of Guinea's Saikou Touray where well known African intellectual like Diallo Teli died.
We must speak up.As Wole Soyinka put it - the man dies in every one who keeps silent. The least we can do is to condemn such acts of torture.
