Hi Suntou!
If you wish, you can send me the questions you have and I'll send them
to Halifa and he will answer all your concerns. Another option would be
to ask Halifa whether I can give you his private email address so you
can send him the questions directly. Sometimes there are computer
issues at the main office. I don't know whether this was the case
during the time you sent your questions.

Another option should you be interested would be a telephone
conference. I can arrange a telephone conference between you, Halifa
and all those who have concerns about PDOIS and maybe get Malanding or
any other neutral person on the list to moderate the conference. You
can ask Matthew since he is not a member of the list if he is
interested in participating. Maybe Haruna and Yanks and anyone who has
questions regarding Halifa and PDOIS can participate. The conference
can either be broadcast live for all to hear or can recorded and put
online for people interseted to listen at their convenience. If you
want it private, that can also be arranged. Thanks and have a good day.
Buharry.

Subj: Re: Let's move on for the interest of one Gambia.

Sey, This is not a time for blame, Saihou wish to broker a cause for
common ground, He is not dictating to Suntou or Mathew. I respect the
approach of Saihou and the way he presented his observations. I
concluded that he is a mature politician and a well meaning brother. I
respect that. For some merely talking about PDOIS or its leadership
translate into anti-many things.
There are clear issues at play, and for now, i will shelve discussions
view divisive. It is sad that, politicians are held in status beyound
the ordinary, i wonder where that will lead the plan unity talks?
To make one point very clear. My observation on Halifa or PDOIS are
based on independent thoughts. In mid-2007, I emailed PDOIS some
questions concerning worries i had and wishing clarifications. To my
surprise, no one responded to the questions. I also emailed UDP some
question about the accusations of the party having tribalist issues.
saihou responded to my email and further put me in touch with Mr Ebou
Manneh, who expressed his opinion on all my questions.
I later emailed Suwaibou of PDOIS some queries, he also never
responded. We talked briefly on the phone and i explained that, i will
send him an email, since the first email i sent to the official account
was never responded to.
I still has questions that i would want a member of the PDOIS executive
responding to. If they don't see the need to express an opinion on my
queries, i have every right to take an indedenpend view on issues of
Gambian politics.
Again, i will also hasten to add that, those who directed emails to me
bordering on tirbal pride, i respect every single member of the Gambian
family, and i also respect the rights for others to be what they want
to be.
what is clear and visible for all to see and know is that: No matter
how fluent and tolerant one may be to other tribes, he/she has
passonate love for a language or culture God choose him/her to be born
into. No matter how much educated or religious one is, the desire to
love and admire one's heritage, language or tribe is always there. This
should not in itself cause any division or hate.
Accusing others of being tribalist simply because they make an
observation about a political leader belonging a to different tribe is
both foulish and unnecessary.
Unity talks. Let the talk begins. I hope Suntou's insignificant
political views doesn't affect any thing. May God bless the Gambia.
Amen.
Suntou

Subject: Let's move on for the interest of one Gambia.

Dear brothers, sisters and friends,
                                                                  in
our honest view, Gambia is at a crossroads in which Gambians and
friends of The Gambia are presented with choices. Despite our
individual differences, political and otherwise, the death of our
nation is taking place right before our eyes and the country is taken
hostage by the present regime. Please, if we are serious in helping
free the nation from this tyrant, we should depart from our current way
of launching personal attacks against our opposition political leaders
who are on the ground. Let's give them the support so that one day we
will tell the world look we are mature people and we have made
President Jammeh's regime a history.

Again, we have an opportunity to save our country by engaging in
serious give and take discussions among ourselves and leaders at the
workplaces, restaurants, forums, homes and so fort to effect peaceful
democratic change.

Let's not forget that Mr.Jammeh has unleashed his hired pen brigades to
join us at any level and at any proposed venue for unity discussions
that we are headed for another futile result. Please, we must not give
in to a gang of scoundrels who make their living at the expense of our
people by supporting a ruthless regime that depends on violence to keep
it in power.

I would end by thanking Mr. Suntou Touray and Mr. Mathew Jallow, after
speaking to them this evening pertaining to serious and urgent issues
in the country, we all agreed that we should move on promote unity and
open new pages to sound this alarm to our political leadership to get
its act together in order to coordinate a clear, coherent and
unified alternative vision to the Jammeh's regime.

Saihou
