I want to add my voice to all those who saw the combat death of Jonas Savimbi
as good riddance. He was a manifestly evil person who stoked decades old
strife in his country and in the process pillaged and plundered his nation
and for a long time was an integral part of the Mobutu, Apatheid SouthAfrica
axis of evil in that part of the world. I hope the Angolan people can now
begin the very crucial task of establishing a real and lasting democracy. The
ruling MPLA must also change their corrupt and dictatorial ways and allow the
people of Angola to live a decent life in their resource rich country once
the scrouch of senseless civil war is eradicated. Lets remember that Unita as
an organisation has not yet been entirely defeated yet although with their
leader gone and the continuing trend of battlefield loses suggest they are on
their last legs. I hope the government delivers a knockout punch sooner
rather than later.
Karamba
