Cousin Haruna,

A. THANKS.

I think the people who started this homophobia are causing trouble. Like I said I had a draft article on homosexuality that I wrote since the time a dead homosexual was exhumed in Senegal years back.

As I respect the sensitivities of people, I did not send it to the Editors until I forgot the file in which I saved it.

DO YOU KNOW THAT A GAMBIAN CALLED ME THIS MORNING, SAYING "SLEEPING WITH/IMPREGNATING UNDERAGE GIRLS IS BETTER THAN ALLOWING HOMOSEXUALITY." I was shocked!!! I have no comment.

You know life will be boring when everybody follows/surrenders to the dogma.

The main reason why the fanatics and wing-nuts are cowing people is that once they shout people run for cover. But if you tell them that you are NOT afraid of their bombs, threats, death and so on they, leave you alone.

Bye and large, one MUST be ready to die for a cause and if fanatics are prepared to kill me because of my uncompromising crusade to emancipate people from their hypocrisy and double moral, then they can come. My killer(s) will also die by the time I spend one year inside my grave!!!!
THIS I CAN GUARANTEE!!!

We have division of responsibilities. Some people are fighting for HUMAN RIGHTS, Free Speech and end to Jammeh's Rule in The Gambia. I am fighting for Enlightenment, and liberation from backward ideas be they modern, religious and cultural.

I know the article was too bitter to swallow and the reactions are understandable.

I am however ready for a compromise by not being so blunt and hard again on the taboo topics. So I expect the fantatics to also wind down in the name social cohesion. Or else it will be FIRE-FOR-FIRE battle!

Dont worry the fantatics will not dare even smell the neigbouhhood in which you are living in USA to ask you for me. My direct contact details are at their disposal already. They just need to "google" it or track my mobile phones.

Inignbara.

B. GAMBIAN COPYCATISM

Folks,

As hinted yesterday about Gambian copypatism. They heard about my Gambian Film Village and uncompromising emphasis on CULTURAL AUTHENTICITY and QUALITY and tarrrra, they are rushing to form "Independent Producers Association (IPA)."

What were they doing all these years before hearing about my projects and cultural activism? Just broadcasting junk, South American Telenovas, Bollywood and faith-based noise.

At least am glad that I spanked them awake!

I find this blackmail funny "He said that when it is formed all programmes that are not channeled through it will not be honoured by GRTS for airing."

This is for those who depend solely on TV as distribution channel. Nothing to worry about from my end. There are alternative markets and TV is just one of many channels/markets for a standard film. IPA is not threat to my REGISTERED Film Association (name withheld) and Film Village project as IPA appears to be reliant on TV and on one national channel. I say welcome.
