I envy you and all those who are able to watch this encounter live. When I called Banjul Friday I could hear loud noise in the background which I was told was from the Lions' fans some of whom were just arriving in town. Just a few hours ago when we called we were told the atmosphere had the feel of world cup finals with fans draped in the national colours all over the place singing and dancing. 

Your daughter is augmenting my poor French so I can follow. I have a feeling we are going to surprise. Say to Neneh and the kids.

  We are all anxiously waiting for kick off at 16:30 GMT. Independence
  Stadium is full to capacity with Senegalese supporters coming from every
  corner of Senegal, including Banjul and environ. RTS is geared up to
  televise the game with 'pep talk' from President Wade, which I am able to
  view via satellite. The theme song "Galagani Rabi" is on.  The Lions are
  not taking this match lightly and I am sure the Scorpions are not either.

  sometime due to a heavy load.
