Go on Brothers and Sisters in UK. Gambians are not going to sit idly by,
procrastinating or waiting for another messiah to come and lead or tell us
what to do with our pains and suffering. The days of altruism or benevolence
for Africa is over. Vietnam, Somalia and Lebanon, taught Westerners that body
bags and mass graves at the expense of its people, does not jive with 'their'
New World Politicoeconomic Order.
Therefore, do your homework and rehearse your presentation[s] and be prepared
for surprise questions....facts, dates, newspaper clippings, letters,
petitions, evidence [pictures of maimed demonstrating school children], etc.
No exaggeration, hearsay or damnation of the entire regime, as this might be
a turnoff and loss of support for this cause. Utilize comparative analysis of
decrepit nations [Sierra Leone, Liberia, Rwanda-Burundi], compared to Senegal
and Ghana [emerging democracies]. Remember, they've been or will be briefed
by its intelligentsia unit.
