Baboucarr Sillah and Saul Khan you've done a commendable job for bringing us
the highlights of the ALD symposium. For someone like me who could not make
it to the ALD this year due to family engagements, your reports represent a
panoramic view of the events at the symposium.

Mr. Sillah's observations on the political parties are noteworthy. As we
approach the next presidential elections, it is important that Gambians know
who is who in our political landscape. I'll try and post my own views on
the various political parties that are vying for the leadership of our
nation.

Kudos to the ALD organizing committee for doing what has so far been deemed
impossible: bringing representatives of the different political parties to
the table, even if one of them stayed away from the battle.

Hamadi.
