Well, the issues is both ways when I spoke to people at home and i was told
that some decided not to go and vote due to the disappointed they had with
the failure of the coalition. Some people complained of intimidations.
Another side of it is that people were paid and transported to the polling
stations to vote by the AFPRC Yai kompins. Like every one else the results
are contestable but the only way forward to the victorious parliamentary
elections is a strategic alliance. Couple with a massive campaign.
I also believe the opposition will come out with a solid and concrete
analysis of the results. This should not be the end of the struggle for a
regime change in Gambia and we should not take a defeatist stand or
position.
These should energies us and take us back to the drawing board; we should
rethink our strategy now that we know the people we are dealing with.
