I am no history student and was eagerly awaiting a response to your inquiry from history enthuiasts but since none is forthcoming, how about the following:

Maba Jahu originated from futa Toro and was based at Kattabar(?)

Anyway, legend has it that he was killed in battle together with most of his army during the invasion of Sine, in a village called Somb on july 18th. 1867.

It is said that Bur Sine cut off his head which he had delivered to the then French Governor of Senegal as a 'trophy' of war.

So I assume the rest of his remains must be burried at Somb in Sine where he died...

Regards,

Kabir.

Does anyone know the name of Mabajahu Bah's village in Baddibu or his
final resting place?
