I am beginning to understand what this forum stands
for in the absence of a reply from the one who
exclaimed about "....WHAT THIS FORUM STANDS FOR."

But Allah is stronger than the malice that emanates
from a significant MINORITY here. The reality is that
the disgruntled ones appearing here ever so often to
plot out plans and laugh at our land. Well, you have
your answer now about whether or not EU will open
their doors to our beautiful land..... read on. And
remember that EMPTY BUCKETS MAKE THE LOUDEST NOISE.
The SILENT MAJORITY OF PEOPLE ON GAMBIA-L have written
to me in the last few days to privately point out to
me that I would notice how those who are loudest here
are the LOUD EMPTY VESSELS IN THE OBVIOUS MINORITY.
Being LOUD does not make you RIGHT. Nuff said!!

President-elect, Yahya Jammeh after his landslide
victory at the October 18 Presidential election has
been receiving congratulatory messages both nationally
and internationally.

The latest congratulatory message came from Mr Romano
Prodi, president of the European Commission in
Brussels through his charge d'affaires in The Gambia
Georges-Marc Andre.

In his congratulatory message Mr Prodi said the
European Commission wishes to congratulate President
Jammeh on his recent re-election as president of The
Gambia. "I take this opportunity to reassure you of
the continuing support for the EC to the development
of The Gambia and look forward to pursue good
relations with your country in mutual respect of the
principles enshrined in the ACP-EC partnership
agreement signed in Cotonou in June 2000," the message
stated.
