How pathetic; it is very unfortunate that rather than trying to engage our
oppnents in fruitfull dialogue for the betterment of our country, some are
trying to wish them away for convenience. Suppose Tombong was a head of
state that was overthrown, would you kill him based on his political believe
and contributions on the L? Let us please be more pragmatic than that.

Ngai and Yus,

Like I said some months ago and re-iterated a few weeks back, I am in the UK
for a mission on behalf of Gamtel and the people of The Gambia. As such, I
am not in a possition to contribute much on the GL especially with regards
to what prevails in The Gambia. However, because you chose to bring me into
this for reasons best known to you, I would further re-iterate that my
possition in Gamtel is not a result of my political affiliation. I rose
through the ranks and currently head one of the most important units in the
company, ie, the planning unit. It is also important that you understand
that I bacame head of planning during the Jawara years and not during the
Jammeh era. Therefore it will not do justice to Gamtel or the country to try
to insinuate that I have been doing a bad job or I am incompetent.
Furthermore, if I cease to work for The Gambia government, it is very
unlikely that I will wish to work for anybody or any organization within the
country. Like I said before, I don't consider myself among the best
engineers in the country but among the very best in the country.

Finally, rather than writing my eulogy, think about your own; I am a very
compatent engineer, fully capable of taking care of myself.

Have a good day, Gassa.
