Free email address subscriptions should have sponsors from among the subscribed and they are required to provide the first and last names of the email address owners.> > The point I was making is that your email address has an identified owner, Kabir Njaay owns [log in to unmask] and this is not, which should be, the case with Essau Gambia.> > Soffie

Thank you Soffie,

What I understand from the above then is that the "rules" have been violated by Management by subscribing someone anonymously since he was subscribed after the 'rule' on anonymity came into effect.

When I asked Sidibeh to subscribe me I had forgotten that I had "Njaajaan njaay" in the name field of my address because I had been using it on another Africa Humanities mailing list and I remember him writing back to ask under which name to subscribe me. I apologized and asked him to use "Amadu Kabir Njie" for transparency sake.

On my first posting to the L after being subscribed I had forgotten to change the name and remember quickly sending another in another mail to apologize for the display name. "Njaajaan njaay"

It is my personal opinion that it is unfair for "Essau Gambia" to operate on the List with a name every Gambian knows is bogus and if Management does not have his real identity he should be unsubscribed; if Management on the other hand knows his real identity, it should be made public. Thanks and regards.

Kabir.
