Thank you very much, Mr Sanneh, for that update. This is information that
the current Gambians trying to get a college education would wish they also
had. But, on the same token, while we are here should heed your advise and do
whatever it takes to get a college education.

I have a character, in a fictional setting, a Gambian, who came to the US
in search of higher learning. The circumstances he had to face were
completely different from the ones you have explained. However, this
character had determination and perseverance, and against all odds, struggled
to secure a college education. There is one great impediment to this quest
for education; an issue that is still vexing for me to tackle. However, this
character followed a dream to the US, and was imbued with so much
determination to succeed. This story is fictional, but has characteristics
that may reflect real life experiences.

Once again, thank you very much for the update.

        Rene
