Ya Soffie:
Thanks for the observation. I was guilty of skirting the issue on this one,
for I did not want to point any fingers as it pertains to the great "GSM
scam" which is happening back home as we speak.

Some of the apologists on the List tried to use this as an indication of
development and thus increased business opportunities back home.

However, as I pointed out to Gassa, in the absence of the overthrow of 94, we
would have benfitted from the ITU venture which would have allowed us to
eventually build our own Wireless network built by Gambian engineers. Even
Gassama has admitted that this was a great lost opportunity.

You are right Ya Soffie. As it stands now, we are paying dearly for this
lost opportunity.

-Yus
