 *PayPal Expands to 190 Markets Worldwide*

*Customers Can Now View PayPal.com in Spanish, French and Simplified Chinese

PayPal today announced that customers in 87 new markets can send money
online with PayPal. In addition, customers using PayPal.com will now be able
to view the site in Spanish, French and simplified Chinese.

The new markets that can now use PayPal to send money online include:
Albania, Algeria, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Azerbaijan Republic,
Belize, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Burkina
Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Chad, Colombia, Comoros, Democratic Republic of
Congo, Republic of Congo, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Dominica, El Salvador,
Eritrea, Ethiopia, Faroe Islands, Gabon Republic, Gambia, Greenland,
Grenada, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Honduras, Kazakhstan,
Kenya, Kiribati, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi,
Mali, Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Mauritius, Federated States of
Micronesia, Mongolia, Morocco, Mozambique, Nauru, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger,
Niue, Norfolk Island, Oman, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Romania,
Rwanda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, San Marino, Sao Tome and Principe,
Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka,
Suriname, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Swaziland, Tajikistan, Tanzania,
Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Vatican City, Yemen and Zambia. The
complete list of markets supported by PayPal can be viewed at
https://www.paypal.com/worldwide.

Customers using PayPal.com can now also view the site in Spanish, French and
simplified Chinese. The addition of these new languages will enable Spanish,
French and Chinese-speaking PayPal users to shop online securely and simply
in the language they prefer. Customers using an Internet browser in any of
these three languages will automatically be offered to view PayPal.com in
one of these languages when they first visit the site.

senior vice president of PayPal. "By enabling customers to view
PayPal.comin Spanish, French and simplified Chinese, we now offer
customers in 46
markets the ability to transact in their native language, making domestic
and cross border trading secure and simple for millions of customers around
the globe."

PayPal currently has 143 million accounts globally. In the first quarter of
2007, PayPal's total payment volume was over $11 billion.
