Personality conflict hits Real-de Banjul
- Willy Abraham dismisses resignation

The dust whirled up during the divisive congress of The Gambia football Association is far from being
settled in the Real de Banjul football club more than a month after it ended, leaving top officials of the
club fiercely divided over its management. Their support for the two candidates Bai Malleh Wadda and
Alhaji Gabbi Sosseh had left them divided in the run-up to the GFA congress over who to elect to step on
Ousman Conateh's shoes after his retirement.

Speaking in an interview with The Independent Ebou Ndure an executive member of the club dismissed
suggestions that there is a management crisis in the team but confirmed that there is a personality conflict
between officials. According to Mr. Ndure the crisis has worsened to a point that Real's management officials
are not in talking terms. He said at his own level the team is with him because at the beginning of every league
season he supply players with boots and the necessary equipment for the team. Asked to shed light on reports
of Willy Abraham's resignation as the sponsor of the team Mr. Ndure said "I cannot comment on that issue.

All that I can say is that at the beginning of every season when it is time to provide money for the team Willy
will always start to complain. This was nothing unusual". Meanwhile unconfirmed reports say the team has been
in disarray because some of its officials are not bothered t attend normal training seasons for the team as they
used to do. Some officials who asked for anonymity say they would be keen to put their personal differences to
rest and work closely for the interest of the team because the congress, which was the cause of the division is
now over. When contacted Willy Abraham said reports that he had resigned was news to him. "This is just mere
speculation. I am still a member of the Real de Banjul management" he added.
