I think this article provides opportunity to explore the pros and cons
of this very unique balloting system. Yusupha, I will second your motion
that experts like Mr. Manneh give us a crash course on the marble
balloting process. Before then, I would ask a few more questions.

1. how unique are the marbles and the boxes? Is it possible to find
similar marbles in the market?

2. I assume that the ballot boxes look the same and the bells in them
sound the same when empty does the sound from a box change with amount
of marbles in it? If so, are the sounds from ballot boxes readily
distinguishable especially as voting progresses?

While the cost of maintaining the marble system may be low compared to
other systems it does not look like there is any room room for future
recounts.
