As it intensifies, Religious intolerance among other divisive
sentiments can ruin a whole nation over night. That's why it is
important to critically look at the little law under hand, for what it
offers to all. In the Gambia, tolerance has been known to be in good
order, i.e. Christians and Muslims interact freely. Should the same
package be allocated to others as well? If I were to ask you: What do
you support? No doubt each and everyone of us will subcribe to their
individual beliefs, or versions of religion. Religion is such that
everyone thinks s/he is right. If Islamic history has taught us well
(true understanding), then the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was one of
the most tolerant of people. What does it mean to all to emulate his
true teachings? In the Gambia, since it is a country guided by a
constitution which allows freedom of religion, therefore it goes
further to give equal treatment to all.

NB:Personally, I belief suratul Kafiroon (109) said it all:"To you, be
your religion and to me, mine."

Is the above verse applicable in this situation and help resolve any
un-foreseen differences leading to violence? Probably the best and
true answer is with someone out there to share with us here.

Rahmadhan Mubarak!
Al hamdou lil lah rabil alaameen.
