Sister,
Well i do respect your views because i have had the opportunity to
exchange ideas with you and hear you speak your mind. The judgement via
hidden keyboards won't swallow me to the extent of forgetting the good
debates we had three years ago.
Now on Franz Fanon...This very writer said that in the struggle against
domination one is either pro or con but being neutral shows a hypocrite!
Now quoting Fanon here is either intended to serve a purpose by reminding us
the days that liberation struggles were fierce!Or revisiting texts that
taught us good lessons during the days of the struggle against colonial
domination BUT SHOULD NOT be taken as biblical verses as far as the current
situation in Africa is concerned! My believe is that there are areas where
things are totally incompartible.

However,if scholars who used Fanon's literature DID rise up against
domination and are today part of those who are steering the wheels in
Africa, then where do you fix them?
Franz Fanon,Paolo Freira,Cheh(the CIA's prey in Bolivia) were using the nibs
of their pens and the muzzles of their rifles to fight against domination.
Now the issue in either Africa or elsewhere isn't the issue of
domination...Its either on mismanagement or misinterpretation!
Mismanagement-goes for bad leadership(however,it depends on who sees the
'bad').If it is the ones affected then i am obliged to listen, discuss and
then allow concensus to reign. If it is the remnants within the domineering
literature of those who colonised us then,i can sense some paradoxical
analysis somewhere.
The bad part or good part of leadership in Africa scratches on both sides of
the coin ie:what we inherited and what we created after the inheritence!
I would rather hail the findings from research centers composed of those who
feel and know it,than those who imagine and only hear it.
The condemnation of leadership in Africa or the support of such leadership
depends on where the perspective is coming from?
Now,we are faced with the application of what Fanon and his colleagues
during the days of the struggle against colonial domination meant!
One aspect is how we understood the Fanon paragraphs and another factor is
how we applied or intend to apply them.

The struggle continues...(laugh).
YEROPULLOH.
