The American Muslim Council, a national non-profit organization, seeks a
high energy person to be director of communications.  Duties include all
media relations, such as writing press releases, articles, editorials and
letters to the editor, making pitch calls to media, developing annual media
plans and strategies, arranging interviews for senior staff, responding to
media requests and organizing news conferences. The person in this position
also responsible for all in-house communications management and special
projects - including the production of a periodic newsletter.  Excellent
writing and communication and computer skills are required and experience in
managing and maintaining a website important.  Salary is competitive and
negotiable based on experience.
