The Point's editorial from my perspective should go as follows:

The good ones are all the students who gathered to vent their feelings as
catered for under our constitution. The destruction of property by the
students only occured upon the unprovoked wanton destruction of the lives of
their comrades by the insecurity forces. A red cross worker helping the
injured students was also targetted and gunned down by the same insecurity
forces, even a baby was shot in the head by them. The 'security forces' on
Aril 10 & 11, 2000 acted like the 'Hutu interahamwe' of Rwanda.
Then the bad ones are the death squad and their commander-in-chief who
blocked justice from taking its course by indemnifying all of the killers
and even promoted some.

Please let us call a spade a spade or at least pretend to be dumb.

The yoke of oppression must be shattered!

BMK
