Sam,
It is amazing how often we find ourselves judging other people not by the
content of their character
but their religious beliefs. Rumors were that everybody thought Manu Kumba
was Christian but when folks found out he converted to Islam over 20 years
ago, he is not a good muslim and we accused him of false prophecy. Why are
we the way we are? I am sure Manu doesn't need anybody's approval for being
a devout muslim. People who judge other people because of their religious
beliefs are called hypocrites. Only God knows who is who and who is what.
All these assertions has nepotism written all over it. His religious
beliefs has nothing to do with his commitment to serve the people of Banjul
in the capacity of Mayor. We are in the process of building The Gambia and
