Thank you George Sarr. This is the exact reason that no matter what is touted
as the accomplishments of the Jammeh regime, so long as their hands are
stained with the blood of Gambians, what they do does not matter because to
be the law, and to be respected, you have to abide by the law.

Providing badly needed and overdue services with the people's tax money is as
it should be, and not some accomplishment to be broadcast. If a government,
being the servant of the people, does not utilize the people's tax money and
loans taken out on the people's behalf, ( lest we forget why there are
governments in the first place) and which ultimately will have to be repaid
with people's tax money , what is the use of government then?

Yaya Jammeh's regime has blood stained hands and they think that constructing
buildings and other infrastructure with the peoples' money and passing them
as gifts of their generosity, and sending out town criers to sing their
praises, and buying allegiance from those who will sell their soul for a
dalasi will make this immense fact dissappear or be forgotten.

Unless and until these people take our constitution out of the toilet and
start ruling by it and abiding by it's laws, no amount of window dressing is
going to make us forget about all the murders and human rights abuses they
have committed and which have never been investigated.

This " fly in the milk", along with the police state disguised as a free and
democratic society can never be addressed or rectified by Yaya Jammeh;s
regime. Why? Because they rule by coercion, arm twisting and bribery of the
feeble minded, and because any investigation into the murders and other
mysterious goings on will lead to their doorstep, and they have no courage to
own up to their misdeeds. It would be tantamount to an investigation of
themselves.

The above combination is the only way they can stay in power, and no one
knows this better than the very culprits themselves. Thus, the need for all
these PR people like Gassa and co.
A government that is competent , sincere and law abiding does not need to use
the tactics that have become the trademark of the APRC regime to stay in
power. The people will simply decide based on their record and what their
performance translates into for the average Gambian in their daily lives,
regardless of their political or other lallegiances.. Such a government would
not need to constantly look over their shoulder to prevail.
Those who continually pedal the so-called accomplishments of these bullies
with blood stained hands know very well the reason why their services are
needed, and what their job really is.
