As a diligent and concern citizen of the Gambia, I've been closely following the pattern and strength that the UDP supporters have been pushing. Please let us be genuine and unite as Gambians and put aside our political and tribal differences. I am not and will never instigate neither support any element that will divide the masses base for their own tribal beliefs. My brothers and sisters at the UDP strongly believes that no other candidate but Mr. Darboe is suitable to be NADD's flag bearer. With refrerrence to Professor Daffeh's arguments, in such a high high University in UK, is a big disgrace to the educated Gambians that also have western exposure. I strongly belief that whoever is chosen among the NADD executive, any true and savior of the Gambia should give him or her unanimous support. Mr. Daffeh, although if Darboe is chosen I will still give him concrete support inorder to kick away Jammeh, but I think it will be very civilise of him to give others a chance, after
loosing two elections in a row. This is just my personal view, but doesn't mean that he cannot do the job, ofcourse he is really competent.
UDP supporters, please leave the gentleman alone. I personally respect Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, but if he continues to listen to some tribal elements within him, he will totally loose his intergrity. Regardless of what party we belong, what tribe we are, and whose candidacy we support, we will all wake up as Gambians after the elections. Hate is becoming a serious problem among Gambian tribes, and if we take this lightly, it will be too late to solve. Our motherland is too small for for such differences within her citizens, which if not taken care of as early as possible, God forbid but may lead to civil unrest. Which tribe rules the Gambia is not important, but who is capable of treating the masses fairly, enforce the rule of law, respect and recognise all religions, eradicate corruption, and make today's generation sacrifice for the future generation. The size of our country if well governed can exceed that of the American dream.
UDP supporters, don't fail NADD by misleading the well respected and known Gambian Lawyer. Dealing with him personally, he have a good and humble heart, but people around of course not all are the big problem. I please appeal to these elements to love our country, and become mature citizens. The Gambia does and will ever belong to Gambians and not any particular tribe. Don't get me wrong folks, am not against any tribe, this is proven by being happily in love (married) a Mandinka wife. I only belief that this problem needs to be address before it gets out of hand. Finally, I will appeal to the general electorate to turn out in large numbers come October 2006 and exercise their citizenship rights,by rallying behind any chosen candidate of NADD to help flush away the stupid uneducated monster monarch. UNITED WE WIN, DIVIDED WE LOOSE.
