Kambiyaa------meaning kambi's . In mandingo. The saying goes Kambi
was the first found by the whiteman cutting bamboo sticks---hence the name
Banjul only the former name is Bathurst----this by no means is  written in
stone but it'll be interesting to know the true answer.
