I do not know this Mr. Sumareh but he does strike me as a sane and
pragmatic gentleman. The Gambia needs humble leaders like his example
who seem to be better attuned to humble service, and not the pseudo-
intellectuals cum peripatetic political activists and sociologists.  His
lack of formal education is irrelevant.  He is obviously intelligent, a
successful businessman, and most important of all a very good family
man.  He is more than qualified to run for the highest office of his
motherland. The ultimate decision should be the peoples' call, and not
any other individual.  The Gambia should be a democratic republic and
not an elitist autocracy.
