Not to add fuel to the fire because this issue is over. But much has been revealed about some of the deeper divisions within Gambian society. Some of them based on founded reasons and other based on unfounded reasons. This is what I was getting at originally but I guess I was the only paranoid soul who was daring enough to speak his/her mind about it. In the process, I put myself in the line of fire. Nevertheless, we either deal with these burning issues or we don't. Avoiding them will not help the future progress of our country!

I say no big deal. I took my punches though most of the insults hurled at me were unfounded and based on assumptions when I would rather be judged on the content of my pieces or character. But that's OK. We are all adults here and thus should be able to deal with adversity. God knows I have even though I don't need to inundate people about those stories. I'll keep them to myself and maybe I will write a book some day, God willing!

My big issue is the way the whole fiasco degenerated into threats about my mother. I believe deep in my heart that those who disrespect and slander my mother do so because they don't know her. But rest assured, under no circumstances will I disrespect anyone's parents when the issue has noting to do with the topic at hand.
