OK, MRDGNY, please confirm again that Ousainou Darboe of the UDP was at your
gathering in NY this past weekend or did I miss something somewhere?

The Movement would like to thank Mr. Halifa Sallah [PDOIS], Mr. Ousainou
Darboe [UDP], ALD [DC] organizing committee, Mr. Elombeh Brath [Patrice
Lumumba Coalition], Sister Mwina Kouyate [Women for Justice/Amadou Diallo
Coalition], Sister Jamila, Brother Pa Samba Jow [Coach], The Gambian Society,
Brother Karamba Touray [DC] and the 200 Gambian/African/African-American
crowd, that, endure the six hour plus ALD/Gambia at the Crossroad symposium.
In the spirit of our ancestors, a critical analysis and approach to
Africa's/African's [diasporic and homeland] immense and protracted problems
lies with its so called leaders and pseudo-intellectuals, drunken with
Eurocentic 'one-size-fits-all' and 'do as we say' and not, 'do as we do,'
approach to our problems. Such calculated and misdirected approaches, not
only failed us in the past, but also, failing currently and bound to fail in
the future, if we do not get our acts together.
Since the entire program lasted about six hours, mostly between Mr. Darboe,
Mr. Sallah and the diverse Gambian public, a special report is being prepared
for G-Ler's to digest, especially on the issues of: Coalition, Human Rights
and Liberty, 'Socialist' or Capitalist [private-public mode of socioeconomic
development], Post October Presidential Elections and a whole gamut of
related issues. Video and audio tapes of the event are being edited and will
be available as a fundraising premium, all proceeds going to the opposition
 parties.
