KB and Mboge,

You are right; I do not condone what their twisted version of patriotism
stands for. After all, they know very well what they are doing its all part
of the game they have invented to satisfy their lust for the special
privileges accorded for being what they are. Self-centeredness is not a
genetic disease, but very contagious. What hurts me most in this breed of
Gambians is their hypocrisy in misusing the trust they earned form the
innocent.

You can tell, I’m going at great pains to avoid names, well except for the
obvious – the demon himself. The reason being, some of these people I used
to look up to as a young civil servant fresh out of school. Some of them
inspired me to a great extent. It really hurts to see them behave in such
unprecedented manner. My respect for them is gone with the wind. It hurts!

KB, not all is lost. Let’s thank God for that. Let’s hold up the torch….
way up!

Abdoulie A. Jallow
