Senior Scientist - Livestock Systems Evolution, Nairobi, Kenya 
International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI)
This research area examines socio-economic and natural resource drivers 
of livestock system evolution as a basis for setting priorities and 
targeting livestock-based interventions to alleviate poverty while 
protecting the environment.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong analytical skills in one or more of the following areas: 
systems analysis, scenario analysis, spatial analysis, simulation 
modelling, and multi-market modelling.
- Experience with applied systems research at global and/or local levels 
and in application of spatial tools such as GIS and remote sensing to 
inform practical decision making.
- Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Geography, Systems Analysis, Systems 
Ecology or other relevant discipline with a minimum of eight years 
post-doctoral experience, particularly in a developing-country context.
