I also share you worries.Our only difference is that I did not receive the
message with joy.I see the formation of the AU as one of the biggest treat to
the sruggle of the African people from all forms of political domination and
economic exploitation.The porverty in our  continent is so great that our
leaders instead of declaring an African Union should have declared their total
failure in bring the continent into harmony.With all the years of the regional
co-orperation as  the ECOWAS,we still see migrats from Ecowas countries been
harrased in the Gambian and other ECOWAS country.We even know that there were
countries who for many years did not even pay their dues to the former OAU.You
see the AU is a political organ and we will soon find out that one her
biggest porogramme will be political and the rendering of our suffering people
to the brutality of international capital .An we might see this organ been use
to help hold many dictators in power.I am very pessimistic.Take care and thank
