The Washington State Africa Network presents:

MORE THAN JUST A FUNKY BEAT:
A primer on some of the African
music to be enjoyed at WOMAD

Featuring: Andy Frankel
When: Wednesday, July 26, 8 p.m.
Where: Douglas-Truth Library, 2300 E Yesler St, Seattle

Andy Frankel is an independent producer and philanthropist who works on
behalf of African artists all over the world. His recent works include
producing King Sunny Ade's Grammy nominated recording "ODU". He is currently
involved in securing publishing rights and new methods of distribution for
African Artists.

This program should be of great interest to anyone with an interest in
African music and culture.

The Washington State Africa Network was formed in connection with the
National Summit on Africa, held in Washington DC last February, and has
among its goals providing a forum for organizations involved in Africa,
disseminating information about Africa, and coordinating resources in
Washington State for the benefit of the people of Africa.

Please come and bring a friend!
