Thanks for the advice. In fact, I did respond to the official (BTW, this
is a genuine request from a Federal Agency - I have no doubt about
that)with suggestions similar to yours. I figured someone else on the list
might have more helpful information as has been the case on many
instances.

That said, I will never intentionally be part of or purposefully allow
myself to be used in any scam of any nature. Never.

I need not go into details, but my professional disposition in the past
six plus years gives me a close to unique perspective of potential frauds
and similar activities. Be rest assured that I have my guard on.

This is definitely a genuine inquiry as far as I can tell from all
information I've seen so far.
